4K HDR footage combined with non HDR

Hey all,

I am not an expert and quite a newbie when it comes to HDR video.

But I am shooting my videos with an iPhone 13 Prom Max 4K on 60fps (High Efficiency) with the HDR setting on. I also have the correct Premiere (export) settings to deal with all this.

But in my current 4K-HDR project I also want to include some clips from my friends iPhone, which is basically Full HD. Ofcourse I need to strech it a bit to make it full screen and I accept the lower quality when I do that, but the clips also are 'less bright' obviously.

Is there a 'setting' I can 'put' on these clips that makes it normally bright? Or do I just have to adjust each clip with the Lumetri Color setting and correct it manually?
I read somewhere that there is a setting called something like 'consider this clip as ...'. but maybe I am mixing things up in my head.

Thanks in advance!

Currently in the Project panel, right-click context menu, you can set the color space Override-To option of a clip to set the color space Premiere will use.

So you can use that to set the clip to Rec.2100/HLG, though ... especially 8 bit SDR/Rec.709 'stretched' may not look so great.

It's often better to set everything to Rec.709, between Override-To, and auto tonemapping ... but as always, that's a user choice thing.
