8K videos playback and export, video card compatibility

Hello,

I'm shotting sometimes 8K videos. 30p, 10 bit, 4:2:2, HEVC compression.

On my main editing PC there is RTX 2080 Ti video card. In Windows playback is very bad for most of video players. The best is PotPlayer, but still it gives only about 18 fps playback instead of 30.

In Premiere playback is also bad for this type of videos. If I export 8K HEVC to 8K ProRes then I can playback it just good. But also even if I'm editing 8K ProRes sometimes on Premiere export I just have BSOD. Not freezing, but real BSOD. Also I should note that on 8K HEVC playback my CPU is about 70% load but video card is only 5% load, looks like 2080 Ti is not doing anything in video playback.

The other thing is my laptop. It's i7-11850H and RTX A5000. And on laptop 8K HEVC videos is playing back smoothly without problems.

If I search Wikipedia for "Nvidia NVDEC" I see article that shows that RTX 2080 Ti should support all HEVC things without problems (it's only not supporting AV1).

So my question. Why is RTX 2080 Ti can't smoothly playback 8K 10bit HEVC? May be I'm doing something wrong, may be I should install some "addons" in system. Sure I'm using Windows 11 and video drivers with all latest updates.

P.S. 8K 30p 8 bit 4:2:0 video is playing back smoothly on 2080 Ti (CPU only 5% load, GPU 55% load).
