AAF Export Error with Remixed Audio Files Premiere Pro 2025

When Exporting an AAF from a Sequence that has audio clips that have been Remixed sync is lost. A recent project came in with two music clips that had been Remixed. The clips were on the same track, with one non-remixed clip on the track immediately beneath. The edits came across however the second clip was offset by a considerable amount (25secs 15 frames see attached photos). This is consistent with both embedded, and non-embedded AAFs and with whole files or with handles. The workaround is to "Render and Replace" each Remixed clip - although the edit points are now lost.

Hi @sonsey - Thank you for the clarification.  You have read my mind I would be interested to know what happens individually and if that changes.  Can you also clarify from your images which tracks are remixed and which ones are not showing correctly.

Hi @jamieclarke ,

I'm using PT 2024.10.2. The issue ISN'T that the edits aren't showing - they are. And if there is a SINGLE piece of remixed music then there is no issue - everything turns up as it should. The issue is that when there is ANOTHER remixed piece, following the first one, the timing of the START of that piece is moved in the AAF - the edits themselves show up - just not at the correct starting time. In this case it's the same piece but a different section, which may contribute to the problem ( I have not had a chance to try it with two separate pieces.)

Hi @sonsey - What version of Pro Tools are you using?  Can you try and right click on the remix file in the timeline and choose Multi-Camera > Enable and then try and export your aaf.

I can see all of the cut points when I import an AAF that has a remix file back into Premiere Pro.

The way Remix works, I don't think it is possible to work with this in any 'export project format' such as AAF or OMF. Per my understanding from talking with devs, Remix is essentially a lot of metadata in the sequence data. I don't think that sort of thing can be ported to any 'export' hand-off format whether AAF, OMF, XML, or EDL.

I think you must render/replace the audio clip on the sequence to a full new audio clip. Although hoping for clarification, I would be suprised if the above isn't the case.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...

HI @sonsey - I'm not sure if this is expected behavior or not.  let me ask the team and get back to you.
