Accessing LUTs from a folder on my computer VS. the Creative drop-down menu?

I have a bunch of LUTs and I am trying to figure out the easiest way to access them. What are the pros/cons of setting them up so they display directly in the drop-down in the Creative Section vs navigating to my LUT folder to get to them? It is obviously less convenient to need to navigate to the folder, though is there a performance reason for doing it this way?
