How do you add iTunes Music files to a project, I'm trying to make a parody video (non-commercial) and can't figure out how to add the music file to my project. All of them are m4p files, trying to do a mash up.

.m4p files are "protected" files, while .m4a files are "audio."

You'll need to convert them somehow so they will import into Premiere. It can import almost all types of audio, but .m4p files are not importable.

You will need the 'label' to provide you with unprotected files

The largest collection of no hassle, no cost, royalty free music I've found for making videos is in the "YouTube Audio Library".  Google for it.

Hey man! I am having the same struggles, I actually got consent from the label that has the music I want to use, but I am facing the same struggle of the m4p problem.

That music is copy protected and may not work.
