Adding titles and stills crashes Premiere Pro

I've been editing videos for a while and I've rarely had to add titles or stills, but recently I'm having a frustrating experience everytime I want to add more than one title or still to a project. The program doesn't crash, but inmediately after I add a title nothing in the program responds to the mouse except erasing videos I imported. If I erase the new title, everything comes back to normal. For example, I have a short film with a lot of long 4K clips imported (40-ish) and I can edit perfectly fine, but the moment I add any kind of title, the problem shows. Erasing videos doesn't seem to solve that, it just stops crashing if I erase the new title.

I thought it may be my computer's fault, since my graphics card is very basic, but when I tried to make a lyric video just to mess around, I found out I can't create more than 5 titles without the problem appearing, and there's no other videos in the project. In other instance, I just wanted to add a very basic title to a 3 minute long video with just two mp4 files imported, and the crash happened right after that one title! That last one made me think it might not be my graphic card's fault, although I don't know if this unpredictable behaviour could be connected with that. Thanks for any kind of support, this problem is quite confusing to me and I haven't found any similar discussions.
