Adjust the centre point of a Radial Gradient within a graphic object

Is there any way to adjust the centre point of a radial gradient within a graphic shape. I have tried a circle and a rectangle and every time the centre point of the gradient is off to the left and not central to the object. I mean why would you want a radial gradient to start at the centre of an object right?

So it turns out you need to have the select tool activated to get the gradient controls active. I just absolutely love Premiere Pro's UX. It's award winning. 👍 There goes 30 more minutes of my time into the "trying to solve Premiere Pro puzzels" bin.

Thanks Ann, would you mind sharing how you managed this? I literally have the gradient panel open and can not click anywhere else other than inside that panel. When I close this and try and click onto the object I begin creating a new one.

In order to explain how I got here. I create a shape, then in the essential graphics panel I click on fill, switch to radial gradient and viola. I get this result.
