Adobe Audition CC2018 greyed out in Premier CC2018

Hi - I'm having real problems editing audio from Premier to Audition. I've seen lots of threads on how to fix (PC) but none for Mac. I currently have to export the entire project to Audition, delete everything apart form the audio, adjust (normally wind noise) then export and re-import into Premier. Its doing my head in, can someone help?

    Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. The issue you are facing usually occurs if you have different versions of Audition and Premiere Pro installed. Please check if you have the same version the of apps installed. Let us know if it helps.

    The exact version numbers of the programs involved and the Mac OS version could be helpful.
