Adobe Dynamic Link in Premiere Pro CC 2017

Hi Everyone,

I will be very grateful if someone can solve my problem. I am trying to use the Text Presets in After Effects by using the Adobe Dynamic Link in Premiere Pro. So in Premiere Pro, I go to File, Adobe Dynamic Link and New After Effects Composition. When I am in After Effects and I have selected one of the Text Presets from Effects and Presets, I cannot see the sample text or the anchor points in the window for any Preset I select. I can't even see the animation when I move the play head in the time line and I can't enter new text either. When double clicking on a Preset, the Preset appears in the Window as shown in the screen shot below. Any help will be very much appreciated.

You have an empty text layer. You could use your type tool and click on the layer and type something in. Then click on the text layer in the timeline with your selection (arrow) tool and then double click on the text animator in the effects and preset panel.

Alternately you could delete the layer that exists in your timeline and simply double click on the text pre-set that you want. After scrubbing to where you see the text preview you can use your type tool (T) to change the text.

    Hi Rob Shults,

Thank you for the help. The first part of your answer has worked. The second part takes me back to square one. Double clicking on the text preset just creates an empty text layer in the timeline. Like you I was also under the impression that when I double click on the text preset, a text preview should appear in the preview window allowing me to change the text to what I require but that is unfortunately not happening.

The first part of your answer has got me out of trouble. Many thanks for that.
