Question

Adobe first PRO video file not recognized

Hello,
I just switched to the creative Cloud 2020 on windows 10 and on MAC.
Before I was working on CS6. I am having a problem with Adobe premiere PRO. My problem is the same on
windows 10 and on MAC.
Première Pro does not recognize certain MP4, MOV files ... Files that I used with CS6 without problems and
that I can play on different video players (example: vlc ...).
If I open a new project on pro and import the video file an error message says: "The file contains an unsupported
compression type". Encoder and after effect do not recognize the file either. I managed to convert the file with "HandBrake" and
there, premiere pro recognizes the file.
It must therefore be a codec or encoding that first pro does not know. I am stuck because I started a project on
CS6 with more than 200 videos and to continue it I have to convert all my videos with HandBrake.
Does anyone have another solution for Adobe Premiere Pro to recognize all of my videos? thank you so much

Might be due to the fact the files are variable framerate.

Convert with Handbrake to constant framerate

HandBrake

Yes indeed.
I used Handbrake and Première Pro recognized the video.
I am looking for an alternative because I have a lot of videos to transform and I am afraid that
the conversion will reduce the image quality.

MP4 and MOV are wrappers, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the program below
Free program to get file information for PC/Mac http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download
- when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to help me.
Here is one of the videos that I have problems with. I'm not reporting all the videos to you ...
I have way too many!
THE chosen video is in MP4 format
