Question

Adobe Media Encoder (CS6) won't open - Premiere "Queue" export option is a no-go

Hello creative friends,

AME is not opening at all.  When using Premiere CS6, every time I go to Export > Queue, it tries to open AME but I get an error message and AME just won't open.  I am working on a PC with Windows 7.

AME won't even open by itself.  I have tried uninstalling CS6 and then reinstalling all of CS6.  Yet the problem persists.

Regular "Export" from Premiere works, but the "Queue" option and AME just wont work/open.

Why is this happening?  What can I do???

Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... this says Encore, but is sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account) so follow the instructions, substituting the name of your specific program

I tried these steps outlined in the link which you provided:

Right click the Encore icon on your desktop

Select Properties

Shortcut tab

Select Advanced

Click the Run as Admin option

Click OK

Click OK

The problem persists!  It says that AME cannot open.

My last idea

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers

Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

•nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

•ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version
