Adobe Premiere GPU CUDA acceleration problem
Hello!
I Have:
- Laptop with Core i7600 2.9 CPU and 16Gb RAM (ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2) with Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620
- Nvidia 1080ti GPU in external PCIe box connected via Thunderbolt.
- Windows 10 1709 (16299.64)
- Adobe Premiere Pro CC v.12.0
I want to use GPU during playback my 4K HEVC from GoPro 6.
Hardware acceleration works fine only when I use standard Windows "TV and Movies" app. (I'm sure that it is work, because CPU load is around 7-10% and GPU load (Video Decode) is around 40% accoring Windows Task Manager).
In all other cases (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, even VLC) it does not work. (CPU load 100% and GPU load 0-1%)
I have choosen "Mercury playback (CUDA)" in the Premiere Pro and in the Media Encoder, but there is no affect.
I have tried:
- Reinstall Nvidia drivers to latest (388.31) with "clean install"
- Tried to switch "Mercury playback software" mode, restart Premiere and switch back to CUDA.
All that was without any result. There is still 100% CPU load and freeze during playback in Premiere source window.
