All animation systems STILL broken on Speed-Ramped clips (2024, and 2023 and earlier)

This is happening in 2023 (23.1.0) and 2024 (24.1.0 and 24.5.0). I have a M1 Max Macbook Pro 16" 2021.

Step 1: Select any clip that has time remapping on it (keyframes that animate a speed ramp).

Step 2: Go to the clip's motion settings, animate scale from 100 to 50. Or position to move in any direction.

Result: The clip will either go black (2023), or it will remain static at the final keyframes value, instead of doing the animation to end on it.

What should happen: The clip animates scale and position normally.

This has been a problem in Premiere for years and years - and it sill hasn't been fixed?

Correct answer Ann Bens

The easiest way is to animate speed ramp on the timeline instead of the ECP.

Nest between Position keyframes and time remapping keyframes.

So, I do realize you can nest between these to get them to work right. I guess my question is, is why is it necessery? That is still a workaround, and this problem has persisted for over 6 years.

There's two processing chains of complex calculations involved there. Nesting prevents mixups.

Which is why it is useful anytime you do multiple complex operations on a clip.

I have all three working, speed-ramp, position, scale.
