All videos appear black in output but images and text are still visible

This issue had randomly appeared when I reopened my project. I have already tried changing renderer engine and resetting preferences but to no avail and the export also has the same effect. However, I can see the individual clips when dragged into the source monitor and images and text still appear in the output.

I have fixed the issue by copying everything in the timeline to another project. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with my project settings but it does fix it
