Anchor point rectangle/oval in Essential graphics

Help me understand the anchor point in Essential Graphics.

I create a rectangle/oval by clicking the New Layer-icon and select Rectangle. Then I get a rectangle W:300 H: 200 in the center of the Program-monitor. The Anchor point is centered at 150,100. Half the heigt and width. But if I then change the width and height to 500 the Anchor Point remains centered but still at 150,100. Not at 250,250?!? For me this is not logical

Anchor points have a very tight logic system behind them ... as the devs can explain in great detail.

However, that logic system is not what most of us users ... anticipate.

For this, no, the anchor point once set does not move by changing the size of the element ... as it is assumed that the anchor point is used for animation. So you only want it to move when you change the anchor point.

And if you do change the anchor point after adding any other keyframed movement, it all goes really ... odd. So I recommend doing your changes of anchor points if needed first, then do any further animation of the object.

Changing the Anchor Point is one thing. But what's the point to be able to set anchor point by number if it is not relative to size of the object?

It's not expected to be related to size, and personally, I can't even imagine how much more bizarre it would behave then!

Anchor point is where the object scales and rotates from. So if you set that at near a corner, but say lengthened the object in keyframing, the point of rotation would move during the change.

Which would not be what I would ever want.
