Animated GIF made from images had grey background

New Here ,

Hi, I'm creating a gif to use on a site logo and the site background is white. I created the gif with two images using adobe premiere. I've tried using images with transparent background and a white matte behind, and with images with white background. In any of the cases, once I export and use the gif the background is grey, a very light shade but noticeable. Does anyone know what to do?

Are you sure that the Matte you created was set to pure white (i.e. RGB 000 or #FFFFFF)?

Have you used any Adjustment layers above this clip with a color grade on it?

If neither of these issues are present, the only thing I can think of is that there is something going on with the render, in the sense that pure white is not shown as pure white.

Please provide more details. Hope this helps.
