Any way to change background size in captions?

Is there any way to change the size of the text backdrop in captions? I would like there to be a little more breathing room between the bottom of the text and the bottom line of the background. I am using open captions and can change font, size, color, edge, etc... but not seeing any options to change the size of the backdrop.

I am open to any solution you may have, even if it is in another program. Thanks

Set Line Spacing to 100. That will give a little more room.

    For now it's not possible. When I don't need to use the export caption feature ( srt or stl ) , I don't use the caption fonctionnality. Instead , I use simple text edition so I can personalize my background rectangle size. Depend on what you are planning to do and if you need this export caption feature allowed by using the caption panel.
