Question

Anyone else get a 5 second lag EVERY TIME THEY CLICK on a text graphic layer?

I have layers created for lower 3rds in Premiere templates for new projects and notice that every time I simply click the layer, it pauses for several seconds, then kicks back in.  I figured this was just another Adobe bug, sorry "feature", that's being ignored.

Anyone else notice this?

2500 fonts ... um, well, that might do it.

Seems like many creators would use a heavy number of fonts, there's no such things as "too many", but in this case I'll just assume it is for Adobe Premiere. Not a huge deal, once their created it only bogs down occasionally when working with them. I'll just leave this here for others as it's unanswered, but a pretty good maybe.

That's not a bad rig at all. So I'm trying to picture exactly what's happening for you.

I've got some two-layer mogrst for lower-thirds text, and when I click on the layers in the EGP or the ECP, I get instantaneous reaction. Is that the layer that isn't responding for you?

Thinking it might be too many fonts for Premiere. 2500+.

Certainly hope you do, Kevin!

Still, we need that data from the OP to help him/her.

I get the lag when using the new engine.  It's fine, it's one of a thousand annoyances I've learned to live with.  Was just curious if it was an "everyone" deal or not.

I have a 6800k, SSD drives, caches etc, 64GB Ram, 1070 GPU.  Latest version of Adobe CC as of this date.  W10x64 1607

You think somebody gets paid around here?

Ha. I wish.

The information Kevin asked for is needed. This could be all sorts of things and just guessing is silly.

And no, I don't normally get a lag.

Hi AjS_VB,

Sorry for the annoyance. Were the "templates" created with the Essential Graphics panel and current tools, or was this with the Legacy Titler? Which version of Premiere Pro? Any system info?

Thanks,
Kevin
