Anyone running CC2019 on Intel 4770k or 4790k?

Hey,

Is anyone able to run the october update to CC2019 on CPU's older than Intel 6th generation? If the October update didn't force me to buy a whole new machine in addition to buying windows 10, that would be great.

Sure. I am running 13.0.2 on my 4790K PC with no problems. But I wouldn't suggest it. I kept CC 2017 and CC 2018 installed just in case.

I agree with Caroline's recommendation to upgrade, particularly if you are doing this for work and/or you are using more demanding media (4K and beyond; hardware intensive effects). And I also agree that you can start with 2018 and test 2019. But to illustrate how confusing this can be, I'll describe my relatively good experience still on a first gen i7.

I meet the minimum requirements and recommendation on OS, RAM, and Monitor; the minimum, but not the recommended, on my video card; and neither on my cpu:

i7 930 (4 core, 8 thread, 2.8Ghz)

RAM 24GB

GTX 760, 2GB VRAM Driver 417.35

Single monitor, 3840x2160

Win 10 Pro 1803 17134.472 (minimum

I get smooth real-time playback and scrubbing with at least 2 4K tracks with some low demand effects.

Tests with benchmarks reveal its severe limitations. If I were still doing this for money, I would have upgraded already, but I don't have the same incentive.

Hey there, VivaMinolta.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend running CC2019 on that CPU because I don't believe it will give you the speed you need to have a pleasant editing experience. You can see the minimum requirements for the most recent update here:

Adobe Premiere Pro CC System Requirements

However, previous versions of Premiere are available with your subscription and you're not required to update to the most recent version in order to use the software. I used older versions before I started working with Adobe and they got the job done just as well as the new versions did, no Windows 10 needed.

Install previous version of your Creative Cloud app

Hope that helps!
