apply master style to multiple text clips

It is possible to edit multiple clips with a master style, but this is not possible with text. You cannot save a style as a preset and apply it to multiple, cannot copy paste it. I have 100s of text clips to go through, least of which I am looking forward to do manually. How do I apply text clips to multiple textclips at once?

If you create a Text Style using the Essential Graphics Panel, it'll appear in your Project Panel under the same name as a selectable/draggable
Select all the text you want to modify to match that style, and drag that item onto the clips in your timeline. They should all now update to that style.

As you can see, a Text Style contains appearance settings like font, font size, fill and stroke. It does not contain motion settings like Position or Scale. To have things like Position be consistent across Layers and Graphics, you should choose a Graphic you like and Export As Motion Graphic Template...

Also, if you're working with captions in a Caption track, there are zone controls which will help you have everything in the track positioned in the same area. But Captions are a whole separate workflow which it sounds like you don't need right now.
