Assigned shortcut key no longer works.

In prior version I assigned F11 to be "Reveal in Project" ... upgrade to 2017.1 and F11 no longer works. If I remove assignment, and reassign... so far I've tried F10 and F11 as Reveal in Project, shortcut does nothing. From the same context, I right-click / Reveal in Project from Sequence tab on timeline and it works as expected. This was working earlier today before the upgrade. Wondering if I'm missing an obvious thing.

    Hi Vidya,

I think I see the problem now... I was not aware that Premiere had more than one "Reveal in Project." I was thinking of "Reveal in Project" as a generic command which is defined by the context, but Premiere has different commands for each context.

I was also not aware you can assign multiple commands to same set of keys. I had Source Monitor "Reveal in Project" when I should have had "Reveal Sequence in Project" instead (under the Timeline commands). I must have gotten lucky before because I don't recall looking at multiple Reveal in Project choices... I just chose the first I found. Forgive me for not knowing this. There is no issue and things are working fine now unless you see an issue here.

Side note: There are two "Reveal in Project" choices under Timeline... one is Reveal Sequence, and the other seems to be for timeline items. Somehow I was under the impression the generic one would find either the sequence or an item in the sequence with precedence to item in sequence should something be selected in the sequence, else find sequence in project... but I'm guessing that's not how it works.

    Thanks for your tips,

    Ashley

    Hi Ashley7,

I am sorry for the shortcut issue. Please try the following step,

Go to the following location in the machine

         In Windows, C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\11.0 (Or)

In Mac, Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 11.0

Rename the 11.0 folder to Old_11.0

Launch Premiere Pro, Create a new project, Assign the keyboard shortcut to Reveal in Project & test.

Please let us know the status of the issue.

    Thanks,

    Vidya Sagar.

    Hi Vidya,

    That did not work.

On my PC, I renamed C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\11.0 while all apps were closed, and restarted Premiere. When Premiere started, I saw a new intro with a movie I'd not seen before, I'm guessing part of an intro/tutorial for new users. I opened that tutorial movie out of curiosity, and after watching it and looking at the example sequence, I closed that project and opened my own project up...

I then proceeded to assign F11 to Reveal in Project. It did not work. I then tried F10. It did not work. I tried a couple of other variations including like CTRL-SHIFT+F10, and CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-Y (to try a non-F key in case).... all failed... nothing happens. I then reopened the demo Home project and the shortcuts did not work in that project (tried this to ensure it wasn't a project-centric thing).

Any additional thoughts? I guess I could do a remove/reinstall. I had upgraded.

    Thanks,

    Ashley
