After effects and Premier Pro not reading mp3 files, it reads only .wav file. I am using CC2017. Could someone support please.

PrPro does not work well with a fair number of mp3 files, so a common suggestion with that media is to convert it to wav before importing into PrPro ... may not be what you wanted to hear, but that's really what will work best. If you've got a CC subscription, the Adobe program Audition does a great job of this ... for a free program, there's Audacity.

I have the same problem but WITH BOTH mp3 and WAV exported FROM premiere and Media Encoder then brough into After Effects.

I am on a very tight turnaround job and it was working up until several minutes ago and I haven't touched anything at all, no settings, no preferences, there is no reason I can fathom as to why this is now happening and it's ruining the job.

Am working with up to date AE and Premiere, and as I say was literally working fine until minutes ago. veyr much at a loss and just one more reason why I'm increasingly fed up with Adobe products, and what is going on in the backend that would stop formats working without any change to my system or my software.
