Audio dip and sizzle on audio cuts in Premiere Pro

I've been experiencing some audio issues in Premiere Pro where the audio dips and "sizzles" at almost every point that I make a cut in my audio track on my Mac.

When playing back in my timeline, it will do this the first time I play the audio clip. If I scrub back and play it again, this does not happen. However, the issue still occurs when I export.

Strangely this did not happen with all my videos or cuts, just some of them. I tried fading in the clips and using "Constant Power" to transition (suggestions I found online elsewhere), and it has made no difference. I also deleted my unused media cache files.

Here is the most recent video I created, which is having the most problems at the moment (you can hear it right at the beginning, 00:14, 00:20, 00:22...): https://vimeo.com/365887562.

Thanks in advance!!

Are you using an audio noise reduction filter on any of the audio tracks?

If you are using 'adaptive noise reduction' it may be taking a while to 'kick' in at the cut points. Have a look at this link for an explanation of the issue and possible solutions:

(although this is an Audition community it's discussing Premiere pro too.)
