Audio from MP4 (ALAC codec) not showing up in Adobe Premiere Pro

Before you ask:  Yes, I have done research on how to fix it.  That includes reading the very top post in this forum.  Yes, I did all of the things recommended to do to fix the issue.

But no luck.  Are there settings I'm missing?  ALL of the research that I've done consisted of multiple suggestions that were fixing the issue for other people, but not so for me.  At this point I'm having to use Media Encoder to try some other format in which to import the videos. And these are NOT short videos...for just the first one I'm looking at over 2 hours in Media Encoder, and there are 4 videos total, all roughly the same length.

Please...if anyone has any idea how to make this work properly, it'd be much appreciated if you could share.  If it helps, I recorded the video and audio with Icecream Screen Recorder.  I can hear and see everything just fine on Windows Media Player but no audio in Premiere Pro.

Hi sarahms9589,

There is no native support for ALAC in Premiere Pro.

You might need to install a third-party codec pack to get it to work.

Have you used MediaInfo to see exactly what the audio in that screen-capture mp4 is?

I don't have the link handy on my phone, but searching for MediaInfo download should find it fast. Heavily used "around here" to find what video and audio particulars are.

Download/install, open it ... then just drag/drop a file onto it and then select "Tree View", make a screen grab of the video and audio sections and post them on your reply.

Sorry, that link above should take you to see the screenshot.  If it doesn't, let me know.
