Audio import is 'Adaptive' by default

Lately I had to reset my settings on Premiere Pro, and ever since whatever I am importing into my project has 'adaptive' audio by default. I then have to modify the audio channels in order to get the proper setup. This is quite annoying - does anybody know how to change the dafault setting for importing audio?
