Question

Audio is automatically split into 4 tracks and sounds hollow

I am using logitech capture, blue yeti microphone, brio camera to record video and in the windows 11 preview it sounds normal. When I start a new project to edit the recorded video, premiere pro splits the audio into 4 tracks and it has a echo and far away sound. I used audition and other editing methods but nothing fixes it. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Premiere isn't automatically splitting your audio into four tracks. You're likely recording four channels and that's what the file is importing. Can you post a screenshot of your timeline with all four tracks expanded? Also, how are you recording, with the Yeti software or something else? You'll want to check your recording settings, but if you're the only one speaking then you want to make sure you're recording mono. I just took a quick look and the Yeti has a few stereo modes, but Cardioid mode is the right one for a single person.

I am using Cardiod. I just bought an HP Omen, and never had this happen before. The tracks are noisy and I've tried all types of micrphone orientations. I have over 1,200 videos with several different devices.

Thanks for the screenshot. It looks like you have dual stereo tracks. You can right-click on the clip to interpret footage and change the audio channels so they're individual mono. You can then re-insert the clip into the timeline and see what each channel sounds like, but again, I'd go back to your recording settings. It's possible you're mixing your webcam mic audio with the Yeti, but it's hard to tell, especially if you said it sounds fine in the preview.

Instead of testing other things first, I would go into the input settings of whatever software you're using to record and see what's happening.
