Audio missing, not the normal problem

I have trying to import a clip from blackvue dash cam, it clip has audio when played normally but when I import the audio appears as just a blip even tho it should be the same lengh as the video potion. I have cleared the cache and appdata folders alread it doesnt help.

Check the properties on that footage; what formats are showing for the video and audio of the clips? It may be an audio format that doesn't play well with Premiere; a dashcam is not a camera in the traditional sense and no doubt it was engineered to store lots of compressed video vs producing clips for editing. You may have better luck converting the clips to a format like ProRes or Cineform.
