Auto Save to Not Responding

I've been working on multiple projects recently where Premiere Pro is crashing for no reason, so I made autosave every minute because 5 mins of lost work are worse than 1... however frequently, the autosave function gets stuck, doesn't autosave and then I click cancel. It goes to Not Responding, forcing me to close the program without saving!

Some users are complaining about hangs/crashes BECAUSE they hit a keystroke or mouse action just as autosave triggers. I cannot replicate this, but I would not drop Autosave to one minute. When testing autosave, I set it at 3 minutes, and do not experience problems.

 

Just use Ctrl-S frequently and you have your work saved.

 

I am a believer in using Save a Copy as my fall back, and I do it frequently. But I like that Autosave (with the proper settings) makes a copy to the cloud, saves the current project, and saves a copy (with the regular project name) to the autosave directory.
