Auto-Transcribe noticably worse since latest update. (text based editing)

Since updating to the latest version of premiere I've noticed a serious decline in the accuracy of Premiere's auto-transcription feature.
For my workflow I need to caption documentaries, always with clear, professional narration and before the latest update auto-transcriptions were working fairly seamlessly...

After the current upedate I'm experiencing some really odd mistakes, 'mishearing' common words (snow as smell, a as on, as  period inserted in the middle of full sentences, and sometimes a sentence. Will. Have. Each. Word. As. A. Seperate. Sentence.

Naturally I have to go through and fix these mistakes manually. This should be an optimal usecase for this tech as it's very clear narration spoken in English by native speakers without much in terms of music or other sound sources getting in the way. Is there any reason why the system has changed for the worse and is this a problem that Adobe is aware of and will be addressing in future updates?

still in 2025 (German language - no slang)
I'm using ChatGPT for my scripts or a third person tool that is to 99% correct.

I've definitely verified it's on English (there's no English United States, just English, then English for other countries like UK).

I've switched it off that and saved, then back. Still getting the same terrible transcription.

I thought I was too.  but it defaulted to UK when I updated premiere. I recommend Switching it and switching back and retranscribing.

I'm on English US and based in the United States, this isn't a fix for me unfortunately.

I think I found a solution.  For me it was the spell checker.  the UK spell checker is broken.  If I switch it to US english and retranscribe the sequence it does a way better job.

in the text panel. go to the 3 dots ... to options>Spell Check>Spell Check Settings

From there select English (United States)

Holy s***... You're a God send! Google brought me here because my transcription is so bad so I was researching what to do... I'm in the US and after reading your comment, I thought to myself there's no way this is my problem, but I checked my spell check settings and I was set on English (Phillipines)! I've never checked that before ever, and I can't imagine how the hell that Adobe defaulted to THAT setting, but I'm sure things should get better now that I'm on English (United States) setting. UNBELIEVABLE ADOBE!

Since updating to 2024 it's been horribly worse for me. SO many issues.

Actual: "This isn't the best thing to do..."

Transcribe: "This isn't the. Best thing to do..."

The biggest issue I see now is things like the above. It will take a sentence and just throw random periods in the middle where it makes zero logical sense. I can understand if I have a clause and you break it into it's own sentence instead of recognizing the comma, though that's annoying too, but literally there's no way either half of the sentence it generated is correct.

Disastrous. Is this a terrible new AI implementation? It's been great with clear Australian speech, until today.

What the talent actually said:  A lot of what we expected our students to be learning, we're expecting them to do that independently.

Premiere Pro transcript:  For the deficit commission, has to be one more tranch reforms.

Microsoft 360 transcript of the same audio:  A lot of what we expected our students to be learning. We're expecting them to do that independently.

Actual:  Just brilliant.

Premiere Pro:  Fruit.
