Automatic selection of a video segment stops

When I am reviewing my multi-camera segments and I stop on a segment that segment is automatically selected but after several edits and starts and stops, the automatic segment selection stops. The only way I can get the automatic selection function to begin again is to shut down Pr and start it up again. Is there any way of getting the automatic selection process going again without shutting down Pr?

Selection follow playhead reacts on the tracks targeted.

Do you mean the selection of the clip under the playhead? If so, that can be turned on in Sequence>Selection Follows Playhead. ~~It's also automatically activated when the Lumetri Color panel is open, which may have contributed to it's inconsistency for you.~~ EDIT: this is no longer the case if the option is toggled off before opening Lumetri. h/t to @Ann Bens for the update!
