Autoplay timeline in Premiere Pro CC

I CAN'T GET THAT TO WORK for PP2021 and PP2022!:(  I need this feature!!!!

2 weeks ago (Start of Dec 2021), I subscribed to Adobe CC All Apps (all the Adobe CC Apps) and started using Premiere Pro 2021 and for a few videos Premiere Pro 2022 and I can't get AutoPlay in the timeline to work (Auto play timeline in Premiere Pro CC - taylorj3753742)

I was using Premiere Pro CS6 for years before this, though my main video editor has been FCP7, then 3 years ago FCPX, both allow me Autoplay in the timeline and if I remember correctly, PPCS6 also did autoplay in the timeline?

SO HOW DO I GET THIS TO WORK!  "Auto play timeline in Premiere Pro CC"

Very annoying not to have this feature!

No one on the internet seems to know and I can't find that option in PP2021/PP2022 settings, prefs and etc.!

Please email me with an answer ASAP!

No autoplay, nor did CS6 have such a feature.

As soon as you hit the playhead it will stop.

You can do all sorts of editing during play but dont touch the playhead.

Post your request here:

Premiere Pro: user voice – Adobe video & audio apps

If you are that desperate you will have to switch back to FCP.

Basically, I want Premiere Pro to always be in PLAY, unless I hit the STOP/SPACE BAR, so that when I jump to any clip, or to any location in the timeline it just starts playing without having to hit SPACE BAR.  This cuts out having to hit the SPACE BAR each time I jump to a different location in the timeline.  I want to hit SPACE BAR to start playing and PP2021/2022 just in in PLAY mode, until I hit SPACE BAR again to put it in STOP mode.

This dramatically speed up editing, basically cutting editing time nearly in half!  (Sort of.)

I do use FCPX for one client and just started using Premiere Pro in December for a Google job that requires I use Premiere Pro.  I have used all Adobe products forever, but PhotoShop and After Effects almost daily, just not Premiere Pro until this Google gig.  So I actually do use both FCPX and Premiere Pro now.... though now that I've had a chance to catch up on newest version or Premiere Pro, it's as good as FCP7 was (a good thing, minuse the auto play thing).  AND for 360/Ambisonics Sound editing it's better (in most ways) than FCPX and I plan to use PP for my 360/4K projects, though I wish I could get a PPv14 version download so I could use that on my heavliy modded (I did that) Mid2010 MacPro!
