ok I've seen that this is an issue that is unresoved - but HOW DO I DO THE WORKAROUND?

It's completely stupid in 2024 that you change a 4k clip to 9:16 and there is no option to automatically convert it to 1080 x 1920.

I need to send a 1080 x 1920 clip over to a client yesterday. How do i do it?

Please help!

I need a step by step guide

sorry that isnt the issue. i have 4k footage and i need to auto reframe to make an instagram story. ideal resolution for this is 1080 x 1920. after using auto reframe i end up with 607 x 1080. i dont care about the exct aspect ratio i care about losing a TON of my resolution.

When you create your Auto Reframe sequence, make sure to click Don't Nest Clips.

Premiere will give you a sequence that’s 607x1080, but if you change the Sequence Frame Size to 1080x1920, Auto Reframe will automatically adjust everything based on the original resolution of the media.
