Backwards text problem in Premiere Pro CC 2018

When I add text using "T" button and toggle animation on for the "source text", it acts weird.

For example I want to do a typewriter kind of effect, then on the second or third keyframe, the text that I write is being written backwards.

Can somebody please tell if it is happening with someone on Premiere Pro CC 2018?

It happened with one of my friends too.

I think this is a bug.

Please someone confirm it.

Yeah, the same problem. The new symbols add in the start but not in the end of the string while keyframes are enabled. But you can type the whole text and go to the time when the whole text has to be revealed and put a keyframe. Then move to the start time making keyframes by deleting the last symbol in the text. For me it worked.

Same issue here. Hopefully enough people report it for Adobe to notice.

As a workaround, try writing in TextEdit or equivalent app, then copy and paste it in Premiere.

Any solution to this?

I even tried changing the graphics settings from Europe to Asia and set "left to right" didn't work too....

There has to be an easy fix for this or a setting that is wrong??
I couldn't find anything in the effect panel...
