Best media converter for VFR on PC

Hi everyone,

I'm preparing media from zoom calls to sync in Plural Eyes and import into PP for editing and need some advice about how to correct the VFR issue in order to do this. We have quicktime files, zoom screen recordings and proxies from an Arri Amira, all of which need to be synced with audio files and combined in PP sequences. Does anyone have any advice on which software to use on a PC (Handbrake?) and the correct settings to avoid workflow issues down the line?

Many thanks in advance!

Yes, handbrake, and the settings to worry about are in the Video tab of that app.

1) Clicking the circle by 'CFR'.

2) Setting a specific number like (in your case) "23.976".

3) Setting compression to something up 'near placebo' to keep quality up.

This utility app is amazing in many ways, and it can do batch work of an entire folder at once. But the batch process is pretty clunky to get figured out, takes a few tries. Then does a great job.

Thank you Neil. Yes the batch process took me a while to work out...!

Every time I use it, I have to re-figure out their blasted batch process. Sigh.

Sorry, just to confirm that we're wanting to convert everything to 23.976
