Question

Best narrative workflow w/ lots of audio sources

Hi, I'm working on a project with several tracks of audio from different sources that I want to keep available for later (I usually edit single audio source stuff). So I'm cutting up the clips and it's a bit unwieldy with 3 or 4 tracks of audio.

It would seem obvious to add each clip/take to it's own sequence but when I do this I really miss the duplicate frame markers.

Also I want to move into narrative editing professionally, so the question is what is the best way to go about editing clips together with several audio sources?

And does everybody add each take to it's own sequence and then add those sequences to the main timeline to edit?

Thanks!

If the audio is the same but from different sources, with a single camera say, use the multicam process to sync the audio channels and video camera together. Then use the multicam sequences as clips to cut into anything else. With a single camera, you don't have to worry about cutting from 1 to 2, then back ... it's just the one camera track with as many audio tracks as match the camera audio.

Makes it pretty easy to work.
