Hi,

I'm working with the new BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.

Currently I'm working on a new project, I shot my footage with the BMPCC 6K (6K 12:1 50fps/25fps), but when I want to spot the footage (litteraly when I click on a shot) My Imac Pro (2017) (Processor : 3,2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W Memory: 32 GB 2666 MHz DD Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB)

shows the loading icon (Beachball), en then my Premiere Pro crashes without a crash report. This happend multiple times today.

Does anyone have any fixes for this?

I tried the basics already (cleared caches/ restarted PRPRO and my IMac multiple times.

Several ideas to try here is order ...

First thing, dump your cache/cache database files with Premiere closed, or launch Premiere, and instead of opening a project, go directly to the Preferences/Cache menu, and use the option to delete all cache files. Then relaunch Premiere. That ... might ... work.

Second, go to the Autokroma site ... their BRAW section support actually has the best information about how to solve the many problems that continually happen to some users with BM's plugin. Read that, and try their suggestions.

Third ... create a new project, import the BRAW media into that new project, and start over. Sigh.

Fourth ... go to aescripts or Autokroma, acquire that plugin and delete the BM one from your machine. Costs some dough, but ... works. And gets great support.

First, you need either the BlackMagic BRAW extension/plugin or the Autokroma BRAW Studio plugin to be able to work with BRAW media in Premiere. Do you have a plugin?

The BlackMagic plugin is free, and some find it useful. Go to the page below, then there's an area with three columns ... scroll down the left Downloads column until you see the BlackMagic RAW updated listed.

Personally, their plugin always had issues for me, so I ended up paying for the Autokroma BRAW plugin for Premiere and MediaEncoder (yea, two licenses ... ). But it works, it allows presets, and ... it just plain works. Their support is also awesome. I got mine through the aescripts site as that way the licensing/downloads are managed along with several other things I've acquired there.

Hi Neil,

Thank you for your fast reply!

I already have the Blackmagic BRAW plugin, I updated it to its newest version (I thought that would solve my problem) but now my PremierePro wont even load in my footage. It only work if i'm working locally on my desktop, but we need to work on the server because of the file sizes.

It's so odd because it used to work fine!!

Using the latest BRAW plugin 1.7 for Premiere Pro 14.2, iMac Pro 2017

Using Synology Rackstation RS818+ over SMB, 2x 10000 Mbps full duplex MTU 9000 bond

Any help?
