Hello dear Adobe Community,

i have a problem with Premiere Pro.

As soon as I open Premiere Pro and drag videos into the timeline,

the program monitor goes black (see picture).  Unfortunately I haven't found a way

to fix this problem since yesterday, so I decided me to contact the community in the hope that someone can help me.

  1. Go to Premiere top bar and -> FILE
  2. Project Settings -> General
  3. Change the “Renderer” to -> the default option which is the “Mercury Playback Engine Software Only” or other option (that you might have)

if now it is working

delete your video drivers with https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html in safe mode

than instal new drivers.

You dont need to install an uninstaller program.

Go to Nvidia and download their studio driver.

Just for fun, try changing your workspace as well.

Are you using multiple monitors?

Also try changing your zoom to 100% and your resolution to Full or 1/2.

Your solution will almost certainly be somewhere in the way your monitors interact with your graphics driver, your graphics driver settings, your graphics driver version, Pr's preferences, and/or your project settings.

i updated all my drivers.

i use the newest version of PP.
i am on a Windows pc
- Specs:
i5-11400F
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060
16 GB DDR4 RAM

every footage dont show up (mp4, mov etc)
no error message
since 6 hours i cant use it anymore.

Renderer settings change doesnt help.
it happens with previews/playback monitor

Start with updating your graphicscard driver.
