Question

Break timeline into separate videos

I have a video of several clips I’ve done editing on.

Now I want to break it into 3 parts and not lose the editing work I’ve done. Some of the work was rearranging the clips for a more logical order of them.

I didn’t realize this needed to be broken up into shorter parts until I got it organized.

I have the parts significantly separated on the timeline so I know where parts begin and end.

Can I copy these edited parts into other projects and finish my work from there and publish/export?

Basically, how?

Thanks!  Gary

The quickest way is to add your clips to the render queue in Adobe Media Encoder.

Refer to this article.

Rather than creating a new project and importing your existing project or sequences - just duplicate you existing sequence in your project bin (as many times as you need) and then you can make all the changes to these without affecting the original sequence.

Thank you for your reply!

I was thinking along that line but wasn't sure how to do it.

I am a novice Premiere Pro user. Been using it about 2 yrs or so. Graduated
from Pinnacle Studio I used for yrs to Premiere Pro. A big learning curve,
but I've managed the basics.

I'm copying the primary Timeline to: Timeline1, Timeline2, Timeline3.

Then I'll work on editing each to the parts I want it to be.

I may have a question as to how to export each (Ctrl+M on my PC) as a video.
Or is there another way to export each timeline as a MP4 video?

Thanks!! Gary
