Give it up, that ancient code ain't getting any changes. So, as that's a thoroughly dead critter, let's move the discussion to what can be improved.

What specific things about the ancient Titler panel did you use?

Personally I liked the shapes options, and they do have sort of that in the EGP now ... finally.

And for many projects, you'll only ever use the grahics in THAT project, so it's nice for archival purposes to be able to store the graphics in project bins. Libraries are a great option for deployment to teams and clients, sure ... but not for archived projects.

But which options did you like better? We're trying to get changes of course.

I support Neil. We need to get rid of this old and bring the product to a new level.

I'm pushing for project level graphics storage. I was actually one of a bunch of users who were surveyed then asked to do an interview process months back on grahpics ... what I do, what works, what I'd like to see changed.

I took the opportunity to enlighten the M&E person running the interview, and the graphics/UI engineer providing the 'content' and questions, about the problem of archiving grahics with projects.

Which for some reason, was very enlightening for the engineer. That was frustrating, as often as I've talked with the staffers at NAB/MAX and online about this!

However, he did see why the whole libraries/local folders idea is simply a pain for so many working editors: you can't simply archive the project together easily via the Project Manager. You have to make sure all graphics used are in a "local storage folder" ... then copy the used ones into the project archive folder yourself.

What a massive pain in the tushie!

I do so hope they'll fix that massive issue sometime soon.
