Can Encore be used to create DVD-Audio discs?

Hi,

I've recently been interested in creating a DVD-Audio disc (preferably one with a DVD-Video 'session' on the same disc so that it can also be used in both regular players as well as DVD-Audio capable players...to that end, while the DVD-Audio session will have a multichannel LPCM audio track, I'm planning for the DVD-Video session to include a Dolby Digital track for compatibility), and while I know there are software solutions out there for making them, since I already have Encore, I was wondering if it can create DVD-Audio discs. Does anybody know whether it can?

Thanks in advance

Short answer: no.

You'll note it is considered an obsolete format.

Encore does not even add the Audio-TS folder to a build, one of the reasons that some users recommended ImgBurn, which would add the folder to a folder build from Encore. (I never did find that it effected compatibility on newer players.)

Not my specialty. Some users just create a DVD with higher quality audio. But Encore has some limits.

I find no mention of creating a DVD audio disc in the Encore CS6 PDF
