Question

Can I record directly from my Logitech BRIO webcam into Adobe Premiere Pro?

Just bought a Logitech BRIO webcam and connected it to my computer. I also use a YETI Blue microphone, also connected to my computer. I can record video and audio using the Windows 10 Camera app, or Zoom, or any number of other apps. But I need to know how to record video and audio using Adobe Premiere Pro. When I research how to capture video into Adobe Premiere Pro, I see FireWire (IEEE 1394) mentioned. My Logitech BRIO webcam connects with a USB 3.0 cable. Is this do-able? Just to be clear, I don't want to stream or broadcast live. I just want to capture video and audio from the devices I mentioned directly into Adobe Premiere Pro.

As Rob stated, Premiere Pro does NOT support capturing via USB at all whatsoever. You will need to use Logitech's own software to capture that video onto a file, such as H.264, then use that to ingest into Premiere Pro.

So would this work? Can I use the Windows Ten camera app to record and then import the MP-4 file into Premiere Pro?

Sorry but I don’t believe it is possible. Perhaps your camera has a software that will let you record onto your computer then take the video into Premiere.

Sad days, but thank you for your help! To me it seems like an oversight on Adobe's part. Microsoft's camera app, streaming software, and Zoom support the webcam, but Premiere Pro doesn't? Oh well, it is what it is. Thanks again
