Can Premiere Pro be snapped to 2 screens?

Currently if I want to set up on dual monitors I have to drag out the not-full-size window to fill the second screen. Is there a way to expand it to automatically fill both at once? Seems like an obvious feature to be absent if not.

Hi there,

I understand you are asking about setting your workspace for two monitors. You can always customize your workspace and save it. Whenever you're working on dual monitor setup, you can select the workspace you customized and it will be good to go.

Check out this article for more info: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/user-guide.html/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.ug.html

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Shivangi

OS: Windows 10

Platform: Desktop PC, 2 monitors

Hello, thank you for your reply. I have already set custom workspaces for 2-screen arrangements. However, that is not the issue. When I open an existing project/start new it scales the window within one screen or full-screens to that one screen.

I can manually expand it to fill (mostly) the two screens but it will be undocked so easy to accidentally move

And if I snap it to full size it only fills one screen, not both.

Given how often users are likely to be working on multiple monitors, not having an integrated stretch to x monitors option seems an obvious feature to be lacking, though I'm unsure how much is controlled by the OS.

You can't stretch the UI across monitors. You must have a separate panel, sized to the window, in the second monitor. Add more panels within that and save that as a new workspace. And you have the way to do multi-monitor workflows in PrPro.

And be careful that you leave a tiny space around all sides of the second monitor panel. If even one pixel width (very hard to see) overlaps onto the other monitor, PrPro can get wonky.
