can someone explain how i make clips more smoother?

i am editing a montage for someone and i tried to use optical flow on all the clips to make them smoother and it turned out very nice unless the camera moves fast, if the camera moves fast while optical flow is on the screen starts being wacky.  is there any other way i can smooth my clips and make it flow? (i dont have after effects)

Yeah, optical flow is not going to be great for that and it's going to add a lot of processing to your whole timeline. But to be fair any post-processing like what you're talking about is going to do that.

Twixtor is a popular 3rd-party tool that's usually used to help create slow motion in post similarly to optical flow.

The best thing you can do is to record in a higher framerate for future projects.
