Can't Edit Clip In Adobe Audition

When I right click on the clip, Edit clip in Adobe Audition is in gray (it works for photoshop). I've searched  for this problem but no suggestion works for me. Even using unistall both-->reboot--> reinstall Audition then Premiere Pro then reboot again. Both are 2020 version.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

THE solution, that still works.

  1.  Anywhere (desktop/folder) create for example text file named "abc.ses" + overwrite
  2.  Open abc.ses and set as default program to open ses files
  3.  Close Audition, close Premiere
  4.  Open Premiere
  5.  Done

I just learned this trick that is a work around until they fix the update.

1. Right click on the audio clip and click "edit in audition" (this will create an extracted version of the audio clip if you have the originally chopped up)
2. Right click the audio clip again again, this time choose "reveal in finder"
3. Drag the audio file into audition
4. Make your changes, save and then it will auto save into your premier project. You won't need to relink the audio file or reimport it.

This is the fastest work around I have tried, I spoke with adobe support and they confirmed this is an issue and are working on it, hoping to have it released by mid/end of january.

If "edit in audition" is grayed out, clicking on it does nothing.

uninstall Adobe creative cloud and reinstall

This doesn't work in Mac OS.  Changing the file type to .ses results in being unable to open the file with Audition.

Check to see if your clips are nested. I tried to open Audition on a nested clip and it was "greyed" out. However, when i clicked on my nested clip, I was able to access Audition.

Hi, So I'm having the same issue... here is what fixed it.

I shut down Premier 2022.

I opened up the most up to date version of Audition.

I went on to my audio clip in Premier and cleared all the attibutes.

The Audion appeared on the right click.

So in other words: are you saying that you opened Audition first, then reopened Premiere, and then clear the attributes of each sound clip?

I have been having this very issue, for the first time, but I can see it has happened before. Disrupts workflow dramatically.

Is any one experiencing this with the new updates? 3/31/2022 I'm on Windows 10, Premiere (22.2.0) and Audition (22.2.0.61)

No, on the same builds on my PC, working fine.

This can happen in several ways. And it's a weird sucker, no question. Signing out of the CC app, rebooting the computer and signing back in sometimes fixes it. I've seen people need to remove the CC app with the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool and reinstall it before they could get past this.

The issue persists but only on my desktop. I'm running the same build on my laptop and it works fine. I imagine it happened with the most recent update. Reinstall seems like the next step.

I want to add, I have tried many methods, including _sesx. Nothing worked. The problem was solved when I installed the applications where the installer recommended

I am having this same issue. I have tried restarting my computer and opening both programs. The option to import clips into Audition from Premiere is greyed out. I am currently using the most recent versions of both premiere (14.9)and Audition (13.0.13)

Try signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, and signing back in.

I downgraded my Audition and it worked. I think there is an issue with using premiere (14.9)and Audition (13.0.13)
