Can't Edit Titles Premiere Pro CS6

This problem came up all of a sudden; I'm using Titles throughout my video project and when I tried to edit or select text/titles...nothing is selectable. Even more weird (and after hours of trying), when I  deleted the title from the Timeline in the hopes of it disappearing...it's STILL THERE!

Here's a screenshot from the spot in the Timeline where this occurs although it isn't the only instance in the project. How do I modify the text in the Title?!

I know I'm waaaaay to late to answer your question, but in case someone else is searching for an answer....

A project can get stuck in this funny state where it thinks the Title windows are open when they're not.  This prevents you from editing those titles.  (If you look in the "Windows" menu, you can see the title windows checked, but you can't do anything about it.)

In the upper left of the Premier window is a "Workspace" drop down.  I fixed my problem by resetting my current workspace.  I may have also played around with the different workspaces, too....

You're using very old software and that might be part of the problem.  Try toggling the underlying shot off and on.  Try rendering that section.  Have you tried exporting and seeing if the titles appear in the export.

Hmm. I didn't change, update or download or ANYTHING. It was working fine just up until a couple of days ago. I did try exporting and only a couple of the titles showed up.

Oh, well. Maybe I'll start over in FCP. Thanks for your help!

Starting over in the latest version of Premiere Pro perhaps is also an option?
