I have a 1 minute video project. When I go to export it, it says "Rendering Required Audio Files" at 0%. I waited about 10 minutes and it was still at 0%
I have the original audio file and also an mp3 song for background music on this short and simple project. I tried converting it to a song to a WAV file but that didn't make a difference. Also my C and D drive are not close to being full, if that makes any difference.
I tried exporting the project without the music audio in it and it said the same thing. I then tried to export the project with out the original audio and then another time with no audio and the "Rendering Required Audio Files" still showed up and wouldn't export.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Ryan
Found a fix for me: deleting all cache files (without having any project open), copy & paste project into new project
I didn't have to clear the media cache.
All I had to do was to "copy & paste project into new project".

does the sequence play from the timeline? Do the audio source files play in the viewer?

Yes. All the audio and video files place from the timeline and viewer...

I just tried exporting 5 seconds of the video that I imported into the timeline with no audio being exported at all. Just a short video clip and I got the same notification. I've spent too many hours to want to just start fresh and start all over again. I even tried copying the edited clips on my timeline and then pasting them in a new project timeline but the same thing happens.

I also just tried importing a video and audio clip that I used in a previous project the other day that both worked just fine when I used them. I just dragged them now into the timeline and tried exporting 5 seconds of these other video and audio clips that I used, and I'm still getting the same error when I try to export these other clips.
I haven't done any updates or changed anything from when I used Premiere Pro a few days ago. I also opened a brand new project and sequence today to start this new project. I've never had this error before, seemed to have come out of nowhere.

Ugghh, I also just tried started fresh. I opened Premiere Pro and started a new project. Important the video and audio files and tried exporting just the video, then tried exporting just the audio and then both together and it won't let me export as the same "Rendering Required Audio Files" comes up and stays at 0% for at least 30 minutes (I gave up after 30 min as it had not moved from 0% and I was only trying to export 5 second clips.

so can you create a new sequence, add just the mp3 and then try to export... If you get the same behavior, can you send me the mp3 and the project file and I'll see if I see the same behavior? Just send me a message directly by clicking on my user name and I'll let you know my email address (which I don't think I can add directly to a post here). May take a few hours before I can test it (it's 2 in the morning in NYC) and hopefully will be asleep shortly. I'll be able to eliminate some possibilities and will be able to move forward troubleshooting the issue.
And pleases tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card... Gotta say I'm mystified as to what's going on...

Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.
Convert mp3 to wave.

I checked my settings after this comment and found that it was already set to "no input". So I reassigned input to "system defalt" and it fixed the issue for me.

Just empty your media cache and restart your computer. that's all you got to do.

I'm having this exact same issue. I waited 1 hour and it was still stuck at 0%. Just stuck on "Rendering Required Audio Files."
I can't find anyway to export my video with audio. Please help!

The audio file is a "final audio" that I exported as a MP3. I do this so I can easily add multi band compressed vs doing it individually. It is a bigger audio file, about 20min.
I re-exported as a Wav instead of MP3 and now it seems to work (meaning export) ok. Maybe there's an issue with MP3 and Premiere 2023? Like I said never noticed it before and the only thing that's changed is going from Premiere 2022 to 2023. Weird!

Every version of Premiere Pro (CC and CS) has had issues with mp3 files that are imported.
The standard practice is to convert to wav before importing.

mp3 audio files are heavily compressed and can cause issues. .wav or .aiff files are preferred and the standard minimum settings for those files should be 48k 16bit which... If you're also using other audio files with different sampling rates, post back with their properties and we can discuss the best way to proceed.

I am having the same issue, but no mp3 files. I have 6 tracks of dialogue, no effects on them and even when I go to export 3 sec of the sequence, rendering audio hangs at 0%. I've tried opening in a new project, restarting, and even tried opening it through premiere beta, and nothing seems to be working. What's more, sequences I have NOT touched or revised can now not be exported. There is definitely a bug in this update regarding rendering audio, and now I'm severly delayed in exporting.

Are there no fixes for this yet? I have about ten weddings to get delivered and can't export any óf them!! It's far too much work to start again. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling creative cloud, I've even tried on a completely fresh install on a new m1 Mac and still I can't export my videos!
