can't mute DV capture??

capturing dv video from grass valley advc over Firewire.

anyone else having an issue where you change settings to not preview audio on desktop during capture, but the settings won't save? i tried like 6 different ways to save the setting, and each time i start to capture, audio still comes over comp speakers. is it just my system? or is this a bug others can reproduce and should be reported?

Which settings are those: dont remember ever being able to turn that off.

yeah, thats how i maintain my sanity while doing a 3 hour capture job i've used this setting since CS4, and for some reason, it's not working right in CC18

should be able to untoggle "during capture: preview audio on desktop" it allows you to preview audio duing preview, but after you hit record, it mutes the audio over your monitors. (its still capturing it, its just not taking over your pc audio output is all) i tried several ways to get it to stick. new project. new sequence. unplugging-replugging device, so on, and every time i say ok and close it, it still monitors audio :-/

Do you have a special capture card. Never seen those settings on my system.

I have a simple firewirecard installed.
