Can't see audio track names even after setting it in the wrench menu.

Using v24.4.1 on a 2020 iMac. 
Show Audio Names is checked but still can't see the names (video Names show okay).  This occurred after I deleted all media cache files and preferences due to another problem - the search function wasn't working in the project window.  Deleting fixed the search problem but caused the Audio Name problem. 

Any ideas?  Thanks.
