Can't update audio effects, keeps reverting back to previous settings.

After updating to Premiere Pro CC (2017), I've been working on an audio mix and I want to try a different HPF on the Parametric Equalizer and every time I change it, when I play it back, the settings reset back to what it was before.

For example, the HPF is set to 174hz, so I change it to 120hz (both by using the slider or entering in manually), and I've found that 90% of the time, when I close the Parametric Equalizer window and hit play, there's no change and I look at the Parametric Equalizer settings window and sure enough, the effect went back to 174hz.

Is anyone experiencing this problem and can anyone provide a solution?

This is what I've tried so far:
- Restarting Premiere Pro

- Restarting my computer
- Saving as a new project file

I think it's due to the Off/Read/Write/Touch toggle.
Setting it to Off solved my problem.

    HI everyone,

    I just found the same issue and I found a solution.

    It happens only with some project, suddenly and forever.

    Create a new project and import the project won't help.

    You have to select all the content of the timeline and copy it.

    Open a new project.

    Create a new timeline and paste the content.

    Reapply the effects and it will work.

      Hi was there any solution found to this.

      As I have the same problem,

      I am running Premiere 2017 11.01

      MacosX 11.9

      It's started on a single project, and I can't retify it.

      I am also not in a position to upgrade premeire at the moment.

      Just wanted to do an update to this thread. After doing the 2017.1 CC update, this problem seems to have gone away. I am now able to use the new Dynamics Processing and Parametric Equalizer effects without issue.

      Editor 1:

      Win 10 64-bit

      Asus Sabertooth X79 Mobo

      32GB RAM

      GTX 780/3GB vRAM

      Editor 2:

      Win 10 64-bit

      i7-2600K

      ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Mobo

      16GB RAM

      GTX 560Ti/1GB vRAM

      I've tried it with a new project on both PCs and have had the same issue.

      I'm on a new computer build, Win10 Pro, and PrPro 2017.0.1 ( 11.0.1 (6) ).

      Just tested the Parametric EQ both with & without the changes to HighPass, and it worked as normal for me.

      Also the Dynamics Processor works as expected.

      So ... it might be more hardware-specific or installation issues ...

      I don't know about James, but I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. I'm having the same issue with the new Dynamics Processing effect.

      I'm having the same issue. If I use the Parametric Equalizer effect on a clip and click on the edit button to bring up the GUI, none of the changes I make stick. I can raise or lower the master gain, enable the HP filter and change the frequency, etc. But as soon as I close it, all of the changes I made are reverted back to the default. I've only been able to get things to stick if I use the Individual Parameters, which doesn't include the HP and LP filters (as far as I can tell), so I have no way to use them. I guess I'll stick with the old EQ effect for now.
