Now that Adobe has officially announced that they will be discontinuing Story (this might be old news but I just saw the email) I am at a bit of a loss. I used Adobe Story a lot for writing all kinds of personal projects. I liked how it was a professional grade product that was included within my CC subscription and as said, I used it a lot.
The problem is that I cant afford to purchase the other professional products out there as they cost several hundred pounds and only the professional grade products provide the features that Adobe Story did. The hobbyist/personal products are ridiculously underfeatured, the professional products are far too expensive and none of them properly integrate with the rest of the CC Suite.
So unless you guys are able to suggest to me software that integrates with an online cloud, allows the exporting of work in industry accepted formats and provides all the other features that was provided by Adobe Story, without the £300 to £500 pound price tag - I am going to be left with a cobbled together useless system of open source products, each sitting in their own space and not cooperating with each other.
Really hoping some one will know a product that is going to fit my needs and give me what I want because I am not at a loss.
Jaygtel,
There is no absolutely correct answer to this question, it's more of a discussion or an exchange of opinions. That said, here is an article which discusses the differences between the major screenwriting applications. Hope it helps: Best Screenwriting Software 2018 - Reviews of Script Writing Software
Hope that helps!

I don't know the answer to this, but you might have better luck starting a new topic, since people tend not to read six year old topics.
If all else fails try opening a file in a text editor like BBedit to see what can be read directly.
Years ago, this site said it could open Story files, I don't know if it still can.
